The second “Get Connected!” community gathering, Wellness-Palooza, is slated for Monday, Feb. 20, from 7 to 8 pm at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson.
Refreshments will be provided by Hy-Vee of Jefferson.
Activities are planned for all ages. From 7 to 7:55, there will be fun wellness activities for children ages 5-12 and students ages 13-18 can do a Fitness Challenge.
There will two sessions for adults. From 7 to 7:25 topics will be “Eating Better, Paying Less,” and “The Truth About Tobacco, e-Cigaretts, and Safe Prescription Drug Use/Disposal.”
From 7:30 to 7:55 topics will be “Eating Better, Paying Less” and “Free Health Resources for Families of School Age Children.”
Drawings for door prizes will be held at 7:55.
Wellness-Palooza partners are the Greene County Community School District, Greene County Community Center, Hy-Vee, Sierra Community Theatre, Breadeaux Pizza, Fareway, and Home State Bank.
